when i turn on my desk top, the firefox launcher icon doesn't not appear on the screen, and the system settings either. what can i do to resolve this problem

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. Which desktop environment are you using? Where exactly "on the screen" did you expect the icon to appear? Could you perhaps provide a screenshot to illustrate your problem?
