Thank you for your comprehensive feedback. I think that the alt+tab/alt+` thing can be solved by another branch that I'm working on related to bug #784804
For the latest issue you mentioned, BAMF shouldn't be connected to that.

Just check that you're effectively running my bamfdaemon (ps aux | grep bamfdaemon returns /usr/lib/bamf/bamfdaemon ?).
Also make sure that you've correctly restarted it and/or unity.
However, the fix is surely working on Precise codebase.
