This bug is still active in 11.10 (0.2.104-0ubuntu1.2). GNU Emacs 23.3.1
Emacs is not correctly recognized:
when launching e.g. from the commandline with "emacs" the output of the above pasted program is:
** (process:15397): DEBUG: current file ** (process:15397): DEBUG: emacs@schwarz-UL30A
However, a launcher entry is created which works (focus, arrows, etc).
BUT, when launching from the dash or from the command line with the full path "/usr/bin/emacs23", the output is this:
** (process:15734): DEBUG: current file /usr/share/applications/emacs23.desktop ** (process:15734): DEBUG: GNU Emacs 23
BUT: no launcher entry is created!
