Bug Description

AWN main menu does not update itself under the following circumstances:
- Installing new software
- Removing software
- Enabling/disabling items from Gnome's Main Menu editor

There may be other areas too, but I think these are the main ones.

Correction: The time when it doesn't update is after enabling/disabling apps from the gnome alacarte menu editor.

I'm on Maverick with awn 0.4.0..the applet is not updated after installing/removing software..if I go to Awn Preferences and remove and reinsert this applet, the menu is updated..it should update also if I restart awn or logout from ubuntu and login again.

main-menu applet is unmaintained. Please use either cairo-menu or yama.

Is it that this issue only occurs when disabling/enabling items in the preferences (settings) list in alacarte or also in the applications? If I disable/enable an application, the menu gets updated, but not when disabling/enabling an item in the preferences list.
