I am afraid not.

I ended up purchasing an OVERPRICED Pro account, and I am using the RTM
Android app. After about a week, I must say, I miss many of the features
that Astrid has, and I will probably go back to it.

In that case, I'll just have to avoid Emailing tasks and wait for a fix.
However, it seems that the bug I logged has been bumped right down the
priority list. :(
