More than two weapons on a unit

Bug Description

Two weapons is a ridiculous limit. As was mentioned earlier on the forums, Ares will not use the Tertiary= Quarternary= and more complicated names. Instead, we'll make use of the little-noticed feature called WeaponCount:[Object]
WeaponCount=5 ; unlimited
EliteWeapon3=ShockRifleE This will require a rewrite of the SelectWeapon function that decides which weapon to use against a target, and quite probably a few more things.

I can see, that you'll be able to make some massively overpowered units, but what for?

2 weapons are fully enough

won't this abuse of WeaponCount conflict with the IFV and Gattling code that uses this stuff?

Or is this "new" use of WeaponCount the generic, intended use and the IFV and gattling stuff abuses?

 It is easy to imagine a unit being coded with more then two weapons, without being over powered. For example, a modern tank can carry multiple types of ammunition, in addition to a number of support guns. Obviously YR doesn't lend itself to realism, but it does have room to expand. A tank with HEAT and Anti-personnel rounds could still do well with AA missiles or a support gun. The situation gets worse with non-combat 'weapons' using weapon slots. (Think of the original Mirage Tank)

Anyway, yes, definately. Especially if weapons choosing range over priority thingy is implimented.

if you could fire more than one weapon at a time, not all off them has to do damage ;) Could be used for eye-candy as well!

Firing three different teslabolts all with different color, or more bolts the more damage the weapon does!

Digging this great feature out. I'd love to see this one implemented in near future.

I need this feature for Jarmen Kell in my mod.

Anybody should do this as soon as possible. I still need 3. weapon for 2 units.
