Also noticed that with nouveau running (albeit in VESA 1024x768 mode only) seems to really heat up the MBA. The fan starts spinning at top speed after a few minutes of simply having the box sitting nest to me, with no load or applications running - not even a screensaver.

This does not happen with the proprietary nvidia drivers.
