The default mkzopeinstance script makes instances that all have the same port and can't work together. The patch enclosed makes the mkzopeinstance also prompt for a port base. You need to add the line port-base <<PORT_BASE>> to the zope.conf.in in skel in order for this to be useful. It would probably be a good idea to adjust the default ports if we are going to use this - e.g. make the default http port 0 (i.e. listen on what is specified as port_base), the webdav port 1 and the ftp port 2.
