I use intensively a ReStructuredText Document based personal knowledge base. Editing long documents in the (very poor) ZMI textarea widget is boring, and I prefer using Xemacs through the External Editor.
Unfortunately, when opening a ReStructuredText Document with the External Editor, the client side External editor claims it cannot get a lock.
The changed ZReST.py file that comes with this issue makes it more External Editor friendly (exactly as a ZPT, DTML and some other objects).
Unfortunately, I didn't find unit tests for the ReStructuredText Document, to test this patch in depth.
