sorry I forgot to descript my environment.

In windows XP:
I install pyzim-0.46 on http://www.glump.net/software/zim
This version could not support chinese index.
But I try pyzim-0.44, it seem support chinese index.
This is my tarball of pyzim-0.44 I used.

In Ubuntu:
I try pyzim-0.46 and it work fine with chinese index.
