Bug Description
Currently, when selecting text only one "formatting attribute" can be given.
E.g. bold, OR italics, OR highlighted, OR strikethrough, etc.
The "OR" is actually mutually exclusive (i.e. XOR). This is a request for multiple simutaneous formatting attributes to be supported. E.g. Bold AND Italics, Bold AND Highlighted AND Italics. etc.
This is a common and intuitive use case for a wiki.
Tomboy Notes has supported this forever - I actually used this more than a bit, which caused problems when migrating my notes from tomboy to zim, a lot of manual fixing was required.
