Hi,

my idea is that e.g. a small sketch could be made directly in zim, for
which no external tool would be needed, and would be cumbersome e.g. for
noting little things in meetings etc. Additionally, a vector based tool
would be better for zooming, different resolutions/dpi, painting etc.
xournal would have the advantage to use not only the position, but also
the pressure of the pen - and is also otherwise optimized for tablet
usage.
Perhaps xournal can be used (perhaps with modifications) as an external
library?

Other tools - xpaint (pixel based), diag(vector based, don't know whether
it can do direct pen strokes). Inkscape/libredraw/gimp are too big I
assume.

Regards,
Michael
