I have the same bug on EEEPC900:
OS : Debian GNU/Linux
Kernel versions : 2.6.38-2-686 and 2.6.39-rc5
Drivers: xserver-xorg-intel 2.14.0 and 2.15.0-1

With Kernel 2.6.32-5-686 this bug doesn't appear.
