Thanks for attaching your video BIOSes. Unfortunately the info I was looking for isn't as easy to find as I had hoped. My guess is that on these platforms the DVO attached LVDS encoder is at an address not expected by the i830_dvo.c code. You could try playing with the addrs or disassembling your ROMs to see what ends up getting poked.

Based on Tomas' logs, it looks like there's something at i2c slave addr 112, but apparently not a TI TFP410 (since it returns 1305 for a read of addresses 0 and 1). So it could be that your encoder is at the TFP410 address but is a different device that we don't handle yet...
