You can try netconsole, but using snb lockups so hard that even netconsole doesn't capture any dying whimpers.

Are you using mplayer -vo gl or -vo xv?

Have you tried with i915.i915_enable_rc6=0?

Have you tried with Option "SwapbuffersWait" "false"?
