@Vistaus -- there is work ongoing on a number of issues, this bug does have high visibility. There is also ongoing moves to later versions of mainline which also bring in a lot of changes, and therefore regular testing is also worthwhile.
In that vein, could those of you with this hardware test the latest v2.6.38-5.32 kernel which has specific fixes for black screens on boot on various hardware.
