OK, thanks for that info. Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" will be released in approximately 1 week. It contains some significant performance improvements for ATI cards, due to the implementation of KMS page-flipping and the switch from the classic Mesa (R600c) driver to the R600 Gallium3D (R600g) driver.
