cursor disappears when computer wakes from sleep

Bug Description

there is no mouse cursor on the screen after waking from sleep. changing to another vt ctrl alt f1 then ctrl alt f7 is the work around. this bug has been addresses in the intel driver. im running the radeon driver in linux mint 19.2 XFCE.

as a work around, adding

/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-cursor.conf

Section "Device"
    Identifier "Device0"
    Option "SWCursor" "on"
EndSection

fixes this issue.
