On my workstation with Arch Linux + Lxqt I am unable to reproduce this
behavior.
I will have to set up a Ubuntu desktop and see if I can reproduce it there.
This will take me a bit of time.

Which version of Xpad are you using?

Title:
  get stuck on one size

Status in Xpad:

Bug description:
  I want to make ma xpad a little smaller horizontally but it won't let
  me. It just gets to this one point of size and from thereon I can't
  make it any tighter. Vertically it works just fine. And I had no
  problem with it on my 14.04 ubuntu version but this happened after
  updating to 17.10. Also I can't move the xpad around desktop by just
  dragging it, I have to the ctrl+mouse combination. Did noy have that
  problem before either.
