Launchpad encountered problems exporting the files you requested.
The Launchpad Translations team has been notified of this problem.

This is happening when downloading the latest series.

It's also happening on selected templates when downloading translations for the following templates:

cinnamon

mintupdate
nemo
nemo-extensions
pix
timeshift
xed
xreader
xviewer

Possible duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1998037. Though that bug report is Fix Released.. this bug is still happening, and this is about entire series, not just individual downloads.

We do have the same problems with downloads of po files etc. on project pages xigmanas

hi, I'm waiting upload of cinnamon 5.6 packages to debian for missing translation updated for 5.6, it would be good to have them available soon, the debian 12 freeze is approaching and it would be good to have cinnamon 5.6 complete and well tested in it

We've moved this job to a machine in the same datacentre as the librarian. I think it may have helped a little, but I've seen one similar-looking export failure since we made this change, so I can't say that this is totally fixed; nevertheless, it might be worth retrying exports that previously failed.

Hi Colin,

Attempts are still failing this morning. Both for the series and for many of the individual templates:

- xviewer
- xreader
- xed

just failed a few minutes ago.

Downloading translations for 1 template in only 11 languages doesn't even work right now.

xviewer, PO downloads for:

Brazilian Portuguese
Danish
Dutch
Finnish
French
German
Italian
Polish
Portuguese
Spanish
Swedish

Fails.

Same thing with only 3 languages: French, German, Spanish. It doesn't seem to depend on the number of files. It seems to fail based on the number of msgids.

We can't download translations for the following projects:

cinnamon
cinnamon-control-center
cinnamon-settings-daemon
nemo
nemo-extensions
timeshift
xed
xreader
xviewer

I can't download a .po file in https://translations.launchpad.net/codeblocks-gd, at least for french and spanish.

We have the same problem for the translations of logicaldoc: https://translations.launchpad.net/logicaldoc

We cannot download even a single PO with just 84 keys.

This situation started since a month ago and apparently nobody is taking care of this bug.
Is Launchpad being dismissed?

Dealing with this was delayed due to Canonical's end-of-year holiday period.

Earlier this week we tried a temporary change that reverted the socket timeout added in https://code.launchpad.net/~cjwatson/launchpad/+git/launchpad/+merge/433219 (the timeout value had later been increased to 15 minutes). That seemed to fix translation exports. Now, this is very strange indeed: timestamps in logs indicate that the operation completes comfortably inside the timeout, so just having a timeout on the socket should make no difference to anything, and yet it does.

My plan is to disable this timeout for scripts for now, to get us back to a known state. I'm not really happy about this since it restores our previous awkward handling of internal network outages, but that was easier to cope with than this failure mode.
