Unfortunately this issue is still a problem up to Saucy Salamander. But the situation has become better, no need to edit "lvhdutil.py" to correct mistaken LVM commands in the script anymore.
The needed symbolic link "/usr/lib/xcp/sm/LVHDSR.py -> /usr/lib/xcp/sm/LVMSR" ist still missing.
Setting it manually allows to use "xe sr-create content-type=user typ=lvm ..." to create a local SR for a xcp-xapi setup on Saucy Salamander, comparable to XenServer 6.2.0.
Ok, there still some other issues, unsolved ... ;-)
