The following pieces are currently in place: launcher script, application icons, .desktop file. In order to preserve the paths, the best option appears to be creating a symlink at /usr/bin/xblstatus (or /usr/local/bin/xblstatus) to /usr/share/xblstatus (or /usr/local/share/xblstatus).
