That does make sense. I'd like to make a release script that will include some things that are harder to satisfy on Windows/OSX, and make separate releases. This way like you mention we can bundle dateutil (I don't think it is bundled at the moment) for a Windows/OSX build but not ship it in the .deb since that will be handled by Depends.

Eventually it would be great to even make an MSI for Windows and a .app for OSX that bundle the dependencies, but I don't have the resources at the moment to do that or fix the OS specific bugs that arise on those OSes. Maybe some day :)
