After a try of installation (kubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso (NO beta or RC)) I got the same message and nothing else than "Try (hd0,0)..." after reboot, selecting Windows 7-x86-64 starter in grub and there selected kubuntu. Very unfruitful :-(
