giuse: You're getting the "crc error, system halted" error message at bootup with a LiveCD??? hmm...in your case then, the problem might simply be a messed up CD/DVD drive, or a messed up LiveCD...or perhaps the hardware. I don't think its because of the same reason that i got the crc error, which was due to an improper shutdown (i think)...but then again, ya never know!
