Bug Description

I've been testing Pantheon on Fedora 25 nightly builds and after GNOME was upgraded to 3.22, Wingpanel broke. It crashes on launch due to being unable to load libraries and find symbols. This issue occurs on the current latest released wingpanel and trunk.

The issue seems to be similar to what caused gala to break[1].

This is propably the gala plugin and rico suggested that this should be moved to gala after a cleanup.

By the way, I got wingpanel to start with mutter 3.22 with this command:

$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib64/mutter/ wingpanel

(which seems a bit ugly).

This enabled me to find out that wingpanel (and plank) now seem to have issues with scaling correctly on HiDPI screens with enabled window scaling (this wasn't an issue with fedora 24) ...

Doing this causes various parts of the session to crash randomly, though the session at least stays up...
