Just to recap: before i tried to implement it with the dbus interface: org.freedesktop.DisplayManager.Seat SwitchToUser(username, session-name) but had no luck, it behaved exactly as SwitchToGreeter() from the same interface.

So either that's not the way to do so, or it something needs to be implemented to granite first
