I think we should call winter freeze next weekend, whether this bug is fixed or not. We can always mention it as a known issue if we can't fix it. I'd rather not add any ad hoc workarounds at this point.

@HH King: Could you keep playing with the branch that creates the log output? It will be compatible with the new release in case you want to play multiplayer.
