How is performance best tested? I ran regression_test.py to current trunk (containig the additional flush) and a build before current trunk:

With additional flush:
  Ran 33 tests in 365.810s

Without additional flush:
   Ran 33 tests in 364.381s

But i guess this is not really an indicator how performance get influenced.
