Because the file name changed from txts/developers to txts/developers.json, the website would break and an IOError occurs if you want to see the developers-page on the website.

If you really want to merge there should be stored an additional file txts/developers with old content and if the webpage related branch is merged this file could be removed. Don't know if this a good way to go...
