Generally minimap but also this statistics window slows down the game (decreases fps, especially when running on hish speed), so this might be just this.

Statistics window needs to be updated once in 60 seconds, the updating of minimap could be also very low frequent (once in 15 seconds of in-game time could be enough), so these two windows should not have that big impact on game as they have now.
