Thanks for the encouraging words. We might eventually want to make the "port nearby" buildhints be somewhat different also in grayscale, just in case.

I would not worry about that: Most players eventually cut trees and stones in their area. If a players sees a forest on shore and does not cut it, then I think that he was not interested in ports.
