a) Should be done already

b) I can look into, this is definitely something that we want.

c) Not a fan. What if you have a coastline that is full of port spaces? This would mean no foresters, no farms, no reed yard. The player can see the port space in advance, and if (s)he decides to build/plant over it, that's the player's decision.
