Bug Description

This may be a duplicate of bug 1096453.

In playing a network game yesterday with _aD and se5a, I experienced massive memory growth playing with r6483. OS: MacOSX 10.5.8, to the extent that top (not very scientific) was reporting RSIZE increasing by a MB every few seconds. Once it reached the limit, bad things happened.

This was not observed playing with official release build 17.

I will investigate further to pinpoint what is leaking and why. At this point it may be a dupe of another bug, or merely a specific subset.

This problem could come back in the future until we devise an infrastructure to automate the testing in valgrind, but for the time being, the leak is plugged. Check also my comment to https://bugs.launchpad.net/widelands/+bug/1096453

Well, I must drawback my comment. I was to quick, and missed the fact that it was a networking game. I didn't test the networking part of the game.

Sorry, Mt

Reopening - I never saw this, but it is a rather critical bug. So we should investigate once more.

I played a network game with myself and I saw no major memory leaking, I think we are good. I fixed a few easy to fix ones - and the rest of the leaks were < 5 MB.
