From bug #1177964, client applications that embed the Ubuntu.Browser component need the following properties to be exposed by the Browser component:
- url
- loading

With the work on splitting webbrowser-app into two separate packages (plugin and application) (see bug #1178552), the plugin won’t expose the Browser component, at least in a first step. Instead, it will expose the UbuntuWebView component, which is an enhanced WebView, and already exposes the 'url' and 'loading' properties (see documentation at http:// qt-project. org/doc/ qt-5.0/ qtwebkit/ qml-qtwebkit3- webview. html).
I believe this will be enough to cater for the use case described in bug #1177964.
