Same problem here. Mint 17 x64 with Cinnamon.

Is there a guide on how to compile the source code, so I can try to get a proper stack trace and try to help investigating this issue?
qmake shows the following message:

Project ERROR: Package appindicator-0.1 not found

appindicator is installed.
