Mic doesn't work on Compaq Presario CQ60

Bug Description

I'm using Linux Mint 17 on a Compaq Presario CQ60 and the Mic doesn't work. This bug also occurs on Ubuntu (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/880399) and downgrading the linux kernel to 2.6.39-02063904-generic fixes the issue with the mic (not sure what other issues it can introduce, didn't really test much).
