When an IMAP process is exited due to errors, the buffer-type often continues to be set to process, which gives an error the next time an IMAP operation is invoked. (Buffer-type is being switched from 'process to 'folder.)
The problem is that vm-imap-check-connection throws exceptions, but these are not always caught. Needs cleaning up.
