thank you for reclassifying bug # 417758.

IMHO it should not have taken hours of correspondence culminating in a
tantrum to get the matter attended to, but is appreciated none the less.

also IMHO...

a distribution targeting ordinary users would benefit from a consistent
stream of feedback from such users.

the current structure and atmosphere of the bug reporting system(s) are not
very inviting to ordinary users. this may be necessary as bugs reports
must be vetted and classified before bugs can be fixed.

if the experience of filing bug reports cannot be improved, perhaps it's
time to create a problem reporting system for ordinary, non-technical users
that is friendlier and less rigorous.

BTW:

if i have thoughts on the future of the clip board where would i send them
or post them?
