Please turn off any type of filtering from "Color and size" tab - by
default Variety is set to use landscape-sized images only.

If this does not help, please do send the config file, and also a log
file - run Variety with "-v" flag, let it run for some time, try to
change the wallpaper 10 times, confirm no pics from aria_giovanni have
been shown, the log file will be in ~/.config/variety/variety.log,
attach it here along with the config file.

Bug description:
  Variety is configured to recursively read images from the following
  directories:

  ./config/variety/Favorites
  ~/pics/background    (contains 3 sub directories with pics)
  ~/pics/aria_giovanni

  However, variety - which is configured for random image display - never displays images from the "aria giovanni" directory.

  This occurs even when I place a symbolic link in ~/pics/background
  which points to ~/pics/aria_giovanni

  I can send the config file on request...
