Comment 2 for bug 434493

I second this. An increasing number of projects are using so-called "Hybrid ISOs", these are ISO images which can also be written to USB drives simply using dd. Since usb-imagewriter is essentially a frontend to dd, it should be just a matter of changing a filter in the filechooser dialog. Please add this.
