Welcome to linux. On the other hand, you didn't pay for it. On the third hand, half the problem here is that linux lets you see these error messages and also lets you do cool things like break your FS onto different partitions. Do you have any idea how many unresolved issues are flying by during Windows startup, but you just don't see them?

I have this problem, too, but put my two cents in for deferring it to Maverick. Slow boots aren't that big of a deal on a unix machine. How often are you people restarting your machines?
