Running ubuntu 12.04

When connecting an usb storage or external DD it appears (mounts) in the launcher. Same behavior with internal DD or partitions.

Right-click on those mounted devices > unmount

The disc (or whatever) is indeed unmounted but still appears in the launcher.

Wouldn't normal behavior be the device icon to disappear ?
