Using current trunk if you:
 1) Move the mouse pointer to a secondary monitor
 2) Tap Alt to open the HUD
 3) Tap Alt again to close the HUD
 4) Move the mouse pointer over the launcher

Outcome:
All the launchers get desaturated: http://imgur.com/1HOkz
