2011-11-14 18:28:36 Alexandre Provencio summary The fifth application pinned to the launcher does not keep its order The last application pinned to the launcher does not retain its order
2011-11-14 18:46:36 Alexandre Provencio description One of the cool things of unity is the ability to customize the applications that are kept in the launcher so one can easy access them using keyboard shortcut super+number where number is the position order it is saved. As the work flows and applications that were not kept in launcher get started and closed, the application that was pinned on the 5th position does not keep its original position going to 6th, 7th, etc. This does not happen to applications placed between 1st and 4th position. I've already tried different apps on the 5th but the bug persists. This did not happen on ubuntu 11.04. unity 4.22.0-0ubuntu3 ubuntu 11.04 One of the cool things of unity is the ability to customize the applications that are kept in the launcher so one can easy access them using keyboard shortcut super+number where number is the position order it is saved. As the work flows and applications that were not kept in launcher get started and closed, the last application that was pinned on the launcher does not keep its original position. To reproduce: Pin five different aplications to the launcher. Open a few aplications that you did not pin to the launcher (ex: opening from the dash) What happens: the 5th application does not keep its original position going to 6th, 7th, etc. This does not happen to applications placed between 1st and 4th position. This did not happen on ubuntu 11.04. unity 4.22.0-0ubuntu3 ubuntu 11.04

This did not happen on ubuntu 11.04. My system: unity 4.22.0-0ubuntu3 ubuntu 11.10 Maybe this is a feature, but I find it somehow strange. The last application launcher (the one before the workspace switcher) does not keep its position like the other launchers, it places newly opened applications *before* its own position. By default, this launcher is gnome-control-center, but if its launcher is removed, the last launcher will inherit the behavior. To reproduce: Clean all the apps already pinned to the launcher, including gnome control center Pin five different aplications to the launcher. Open a few aplications that were not pinned to the launcher (ex: opening from the dash) What happens: the 5th application does not keep its original position going to 6th, 7th, etc. This does not happen to applications placed between 1st and 4th position.
