Omer, tested in Classic desktop with Metacity running as requested, there was no problem with Skype sharing desktop, took approx 3 seconds to share and tested three times to be sure. Sorry but didn't have time to check with Compiz/Classic but may get time later. Interestingly I have been testing Jitsi [jitsi.org] which is proving a valid open source alternative to Skype which also has share desktop and it works well with Compiz/Unity. Jitsi is under rapid development and improving well.
