Following http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-spec-1.0.html#paths

If I put a desktop file under /usr/share/applications/foobar, then it's displayed in dash all right.
If I put the same desktop file under /usr/share/applications/foo-bar, then it's name in dash is blank.
