I'm using Unity 3D and get confronted with this bug on a daily basis when starting a nautilus window. I also second that it is pretty annoying.
In my opinion it is really important to fix this bug - especially for a LTS - to ensure a consistant and professional user experience in Unity. Imho these are just the things that make people want to switch to E.g. Xubuntu.
