Synergy causes launcher tooltips to not disappear

Bug Description
I use synergy with a monitor LeftOf the monitor with the launcher.
1. Hover over the launcher and then make a tooltip appear for an app.
2. Move the mouse cursor over to the left and into the other screen (and thus causing the mouse to disappear)
3. The launcher tooltip gets stuck displaying indefinitely.
4. Rehover the mouse over an app on the launcher "unsticks" it.

Jorge set his Ubuntu machine as the server, for fun I set up my Ubuntu machine as the client.
I can reproduce this bug, although I find that exiting the screen to the left quickly causes the tooltip to disappear, while exiting slowly causes it to stay. Moving the mouse back onto the Ubuntu screen and launcher causes the tooltip to disappear again.
