LibreOffice no longer groups correctly in launcher

Using Unity daily 2011-04-07, LibreOffice no longer groups correctly in the launcher bar. Each document gets its own entry, rather than being subsumed under a single LibreOffice icon.

Expected: No matter how many LibreOffice documents are open, one icon will appear.

What happens: An icon appears in the unity launcher for each document.

I can't reproduce this. What is the tooltip text you get on the different LibreOffice icons?

BTW, if this bug is reproducible only across different LibreOffice components such as Writer, Calc, Impress, etc, then that's by design to have each separate LO component in its own icon.

This has occurred a couple of times for me but I too cannot reproduce at will. I am not referring to different LO components having their own icons, but rather that when I have multiple Writer documents open (and this occurred after several hours of use) I was getting duplicate icons which seemed not to function properly but which corresponded (in terms of quantity) to the documents I had open.

Will report back if can reproduce with tooltip text.

I confirm this issue. For clarity, the issue is that when launching e.g. a text document, it gets a separate icon (a plain white document), rather than being grouped with the "standard" blue LibreOffice icon.

The separate icon can be closed independently using the right-click/close option of the launcher. The OOo documents associated with the standard button remain open. Reversely also, closing the documents associated with the standard button does not close the separate icon.

It is not very consistently reproducible. In the attached screenshot, three documents were grouped with the standard icon, a fourth document got its own icon.

I have pretty much the impression that it is related with the time there is needed to open a document. Larger documents that need time to open, are all grouped in the separate launcher. Small documents appear correctly in the blue Writer icon.

Attachment illustrates the issue (again) so that it is very clear what we are talking about.

Please, when testing, try with large documents as well.

In answer to the question of Bilal Akhtar with respect to the tooltip:

Blue LibreOffice Writer icon: "LibreOffice Writer"
White separate document icon: "LibreOffice 3.3"

Only one libreoffice process is running, though:

I can confirm this bug happening on my Ubuntu 11.04 (32-bit) with latest updates installed also just like vanadium wrote above.

I particulaly tried to open multible Calc sheets by launching them from Nautilus.

EXPECTED:

One LibreOffice Calc -icon in Unity launcher with multible "dots" grouping all open Calc documents together --> clicking the icon would show all open Calc sheets at same time

WHAT HAPPEND:

One LibreOffice Calc -icon and one white "document" icon, some of open Calc documents was grouped under Calc -icon and some under "document" icon. I have not figured out yet are there any logic why some of the documents get grouped under "document" icon.
